Dr. Brandon Spahn, Owner
PT, DPT, ART
Dr. Brandon Spahn DPT, ART is the president and CEO of Premier Performance Physical & Aquatic Therapy, founded in 2009. Brandon earned his Doctorate in Physical therapy from Touro College School of Health Science in BayShore, NY in 2006. His primary area of expertise and interest has been working in orthopedic / sports medicine. He has treated a variety of individuals ranging from high-level amateur to professional athletes, to “weekend warriors.” Today, just as his practice has grown and evolved, so has Dr. Spahn. He approaches therapy with a holistic approach for treating patients, “treatment that deals with the whole person, not just the disease.” He believes that treating patients in a holistic way can speed the healing process and address the multifactorial nature of pain. He also believes that everything is connected and what the mind believes, the body achieves.
Dr. Spahn is passionate about inspiring and helping others, living a healthy positive lifestyle, physical fitness, nutrition, and becoming his greatest version of himself. The vision that became Premier Performance Physical and Aquatic Therapy has grown to include a second location and a lively staff of nearly thirty highly-motivated professionals! Dr. Spahn continues to live out his dream and strives to provide the latest and best quality one-on-one care to all of his patients. On a personal note, when he’s not working, he likes spending time with his family and 3 sons. He still loves to work out and lives and promotes a healthy lifestyle to all.
Bailey Spahn, Operations Manager
Licensed Massage Therapist
Bailey Spahn grew up in Bay Shore, NY and graduated Bay Shore High School in 2015. During his time in High School, Bailey started working the front desk part time at Premier’s Bay Shore Office. Through the years, working side by side with his father, Premier’s Founder/Owner, Dr. Brandon M. Spahn, DPT, ART, he learned every aspect of the company.
Today he is running both the Lindenhurst and Bay Shore practices and overseeing the opening of their third location in West Babylon. Additionally, he recently graduated from New York College of Health Professions where he obtained his degree in Massage Therapy, immediately signed up for the New York State Boards and passed it on the first try, thus obtaining his License. With this, he was able to add the specialty of Massage Therapy to Premier’s Practice giving patient’s another avenue of care.
In his spare time, Bailey enjoys watching horror movies, going on nature walks and is a volunteer Fire Fighter with the Bay Shore Fire Department. He is also a cat dad to his tuxedo cat named Sylvester who is 9 years old.
Bailey believes in a full-body approach to Massage Treatment and provides Pro-Bono services to Veterans on Sundays which he calls “Sunday’s Salute to Service”.
Dr. Alessandro Asaro, Medical Director
PT, DPT
Dr. Alessandro Asaro graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a Doctoral Physical Therapy degree in 2016. He also received his undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Life Science from NYIT in 2013. His primary experience is outpatient rehabilitation, and treats a variety of injuries including post-operative, orthopedic, sports medicine, and gait/balance. He utilizes an evidenced-based practice approach, with a strong focus on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, functional movements, and will integrate the use of Kinesio Tape. In his free time, Alessandro enjoys spending time with his wife and son, watching his favorite sports teams play (NY Giants, NY Yankees, NY Islanders, Juventus), and traveling.
Lindsay Dickinson
PT, DPT
Dr. Lindsay Dickinson received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Tufts University in 2022.
Prior to attending Tufts, she also completed her studies to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. Lindsay completed her undergraduate studies at LIU post, where she received a bachelor’s in Nutrition and Wellness.
Lindsay was a competitive cheerleader for 15 years and became interested in physical therapy after overcoming an orthopedic injury herself. Lindsay’s main interests are in orthopedic rehabilitation and deals with a wide variety of conditions.
Lindsay believes in a patient centered approach and that rehab is personalized to each individual. Outside of physical therapy, Lindsay enjoys exercising and coaching cheerleading.
Dr. Marc Hroncich
PT, DPT
Marc graduated from Stony Brook University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2004. He earned his Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree in health science technology from Stony Brook University as well. Marc began his journey into the health field as a personal trainer, where he became intrigued to learn more about rehabilitation for those suffering from injuries. Marc has since worked in a variety of physical therapy settings, such as home care, hospitals, and outpatient rehab.
Dr. Hroncich specializes in orthopedics and post-surgical rehabilitation; utilizing individualized approaches to progress each and every patient. On his free time, Marc enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
Dr. Danielle Girouard
PT, DPT
Dr. Danielle Girouard graduated from Northeastern University with a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy in 2015. While studying in Boston, Danielle worked closely with the Boston Ballet along with those suffering from orthopedic injuries. Since graduating, Danielle has worked in outpatient orthopedic settings, specializing not only in orthopedic injuries, but also dance medicine and golfers after completing her training through the Titleist Performance Institute.
She moved from NYC, where she worked as the director of an outpatient clinic, to Long Island in April of 2020.
Danielle uses a manual, hands-on approach to treating all injuries, and works closely with her patients to develop a plan
Danielle has a passion for learning and strives to educate her patients about their injuries as well as she can. She believes in a strong mind-body connection when it comes to healing.
Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family as a new mom, traveling to new cities, and getting in as many spin classes as possible.
Dr. Matthew Marino Medical Director
PT, DPT
Dr. Marino is a 2021 graduate of Stony Brook University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He also completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at SUNY Oneonta, where he Wrestled at the D3 level for four years. He became interested in becoming a Physical Therapist after being helped to overcome a sport related injury of his own through Physical Therapy. His main focus lies in Orthopedic rehab and has worked with a wide variety of patient populations and conditions such as athletes, geriatric, pediatric, post-operative, sport related, chronic, acute trauma and balance deficits. He has a passion for manual therapy and utilizes the restrictive based approach, taught to him by a group of Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapists, which focuses on finding and correcting restrictions and malalignment within the body, allowing for optimal muscle function, nerve conduction and movement. He utilizes an evidence-based, patient-centered approach to treatment, with a strong emphasis on therapeutic exercise, postural/core stability, functional manual therapy, and movement training.
Dr. Marino intends to further his knowledge and expertise by one day acquiring a Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT), Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Outside of Physical Therapy, he is a Wrestling coach for Sachem North High School where he coaches athletes from 4-18 years of age. He also enjoys competing in Jiu Jitsu and lifting weights.
Seth Powers
PT, DPT
Dr. Seth Powers graduated from King’s College in 2013 with a Bachelors in Human Resources Management where he played football for four years. Seth remained involved in athletics as Strength and conditioning coach for St. John the Baptist High School football, and assistant Varsity/JV coach for both football and Track and Field teams while pursuing his bachelors in Biology.
He later went on to complete his graduate studies in 2019 from Touro College receiving his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Seth is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
He has been actively participating in continuing education courses, specializing his focus in Functional Manual Therapy, through The Institute of Physical Art and various courses involving spinal rehabilitation.
Dr. Shweta Shah
DPT
Shweta received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 from New York Institute of Technology. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, which she received from NYIT. She became interested in becoming a physical therapist after she was placed in the physical therapy department as a high school volunteer at Nassau University Medical Center.
Shweta’s main area of clinical expertise lies in outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation and has worked with pediatrics, athletes, and geriatrics. She leads a healthy lifestyle while striving to help others do the same through her knowledge and passion for physical and mental well-being. Shweta has a strong emphasis on manual therapy and treating the body as a whole to promote healing. She utilizes a variety of techniques, including therapeutic exercise, patient education, and a evidence-based approach when working with her patients.
Outside of work, Shweta likes to work out, travel, and spend time with her family.
