Why Aquatic Therapy?

Aquatic therapy consists of an exercise program that is performed in water, making it highly effective and safe. Aquatic therapy uses the physical properties of water to help assist our patients’ healing and exercise performance. It’s extremely helpful for those who may not be suited for therapy machines or other forms of therapy.

While aquatic therapy can be helpful for many people, it may not be for everyone. Those who have cardiac disease should not participate in aquatic therapy, as well as those with fevers, infections, or bowel or bladder incontinence. Make sure that you always discuss any type of therapy techniques before engaging in an aquatic therapy program.

At LI Premier Performance Physical and Aquatic Therapy, we are committed to being here for you and your family when you need help the most. We’re incredibly thankful to have the opportunity to do what we do and it’s a privilege to care for so many people who put their health in our hands.

When you choose to visit LI Premier Performance Physical and Aquatic Therapy, you’ll find a team of compassionate and skilled physical therapists who specialize in sports injuries, orthopedic rehab, and manual therapy. Connect with us today to set up an appointment at either of our locations or with any questions you have regarding aquatic therapy.
